CARLTON FOOTBALL CLUB VISIT VICTORIA’S BUSHFIRE AFFECTED REGIONS ON TWO DAY COMMUNITY PROGRAM - Fri, Jan 22 2010

Carlton Football Club’s entire 2010 senior list will visit the bushfire-affected communities in Victoria’s north-east, for a two-day Training and Community Service Program next week. The two-day program – over February 3 and 4, will see Chris Judd, Brett Ratten and the entire playing list visiting schools in Healesville, Kinglake, local hospitals in the region and aged-care facilities – as well as conducting a Super Clinic at Healesville Football Club – for local budding AFL footballers. The highlight of the two-day program will be a Carlton Football Club Community Fundraising Dinner to be held at Yarra Glen Racecourse on February 3 with the entire senior team in attendance to raise money for future Auskick Programs in the affected regions. Entitled the “Navy Blues & Yellow Ribbon Fundraising Dinner” – the event will see a Carlton player host a table, with an amazing range of Carlton memorabilia, including signed footballs and club jumpers, up for auction, as well as a host of Carlton merchandise and sporting memorabilia as part of a major raffle. Guest speakers include Senior Coach Brett Ratten and Captain Chris Judd with tickets only $40 per person (includes two-course dinner) Carlton’s Marc Murphy is encouraging all Carlton supporters to book tickets to this event on February 3, 2010 in Yarra Glen. “I visited the area in the week after the tragic bushfires last year and I saw first-hand the devastation that was caused. This is another great opportunity to give something back to the affected communities and I know everyone at the Club is keen to be involved with the communities and to raise funds for Auskick and the affected sporting groups in the area,” said Marc Murphy.
