The Shire of Murrindindi is located North East of Melbourne and encompasses the townships and villages of Alexandra, Buxton, Eildon, Flowerdale, Highlands, Kerrisdale, Kinglake, Lake Mountain, Marysville, Narbethong, Strath Creek, Taggerty, Thornton, Toolangi, Yea and Yarck.
Mitchell Shire is located less than one hour north of Melbourne in the heart of Victoria and incorporates the townships of Wallan, Kilmore, Broadford, Beveridge, Wandong, Heathcote Junction, Pyalong, Tallarook, Seymour, Puckapunyal and Tooborac.
WILD ART AT OLD POST OFFICE – SEYMOUR

The annual Wild Art Exhibition of Wildlife and Natural Landscape features a truly inspiring collection of paintings by internationally acclaimed Australian Artists. Wildlife artists, including artists from the Goulburn Valley, will be showcased Wednesday to Sunday 11am until 4pm and Tuesday to Friday evening from 6pm until late, with all other times by appointment only. Entry is free, with complimentary refreshments served at the exhibition opening.

WANDONG COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL & UTE COMPETITION

The 2010 Wandong Country Music Festival & Ute Competition will be celebrating its 10th anniversary on March 7, 2010 and promises to be a big day for visitors. Featuring renowned artists such as Beccy Cole, Sunny Cowgirls, 8 Ball Aitken and Tim Farren along with market stalls, food and beverage stalls, there is sure to be something for everyone.

WORLD’S LONGEST LUNCH – MARYSVILLE

On March 12, 2010 the World’s Longest Lunch will be held in Marysville to celebrate the regions recovery since the February 7, 2010 Bushfire. The event will showcase the food, wine and hospitality of the region.
Experience dining in the lush green valley and river flats of Steavensons River and enjoy local cool climate wines, trout, olive oil and other treasures prepared by four of the region's finest chefs.

FAMILY FUN DAY – KILMORE
March 13, 2010
The Kilmore Family Fun Day promises to be a great day out for the whole family. Come and see the competition entries for Best Scarecrow and Biggest Pumpkin, cheer on the drivers of the Ride on Mower Race or sample Most Delicious Scones. This combined with music, great food, plus a jumping castle and mini golf for the kids – Kilmore Family Fun day is not to be missed. All proceeds will go towards supporting the Royal Children’s Hospital.

MOTORCYCLE SHOW AND SWAP MEET - ALEXANDRA

The Rotary Club of Alexandra will be holding its eighth annual Motorbike Show and Swap meet on Sunday March 21, 2010 at the Alexandra Secondary College, gates open at 9am. Features will include classic, vintage and modern bikes, trade displays and demo bikes. All profits made from this event will be donated to local youth projects.

YEA AUTUMN FESTIVAL

The Yea Autumn Festival is an annual event and will be held on March 21, 2010 under the shady trees of Yea’s High Street. The fun-filled family day includes vintage cars, remote controlled boats, handmade craft and home produced food, exhibitions of local art and craft, and live music performances. The historic Yea Shire Hall will also be filled with exquisite crafts and scaled working models of liners, frigates and battleships will sail around the swimming pool all day.
