Rules

  • • Unless you are exempt, a current and valid Victorian Recreational Fishing Licence is required
  • • All participants must be familiar with fishing rules and regulations outlined in the Victorian Recreational Fishing Guide.
  • • For the purposes of this competition - Rod and Line Fishing only (1 rod per person)
  • • Do not enter private property without the permission of land owners.
  • • Only land-based fishing permitted on the Goulburn River.
  • • Fishing on the Goulburn River for this competition is between Seymour and Alexandra only
  • • Vessels are permitted on Lake Eildon – participants to be familiar and comply with the Marine Safety Act and all passengers must wear a PFD (personal flotation device) at all times.
  • • No Camping or camp fires other than in designated camping area
  • • No Camping Below Full Supply Level at Lake Eildon.
  • • No Fishing on the Eildon Dam Wall.
  • • Do not litter - please take your rubbish home with you.
  • • All carp caught must not be returned to the water
  • • All participants must adhere to the terms and conditions of competition
  • If you suspect illegal fishing activity, please call our 24 hour fisheries offence reporting line on 13FISH (13 3474).

A copy of the Victorian Recreational Fishing Guide can be obtained from tackle shops or places that sell Recreational Fishing Licences or it can be viewed at www.dpi.vic.gov.au/fishing.
